From startup to ConCourt in 8 years

Starting with humble beginnings in 2019, Maybery Inc. was founded by Warwick Maybery in Bedfordview, Gauteng. Moving to Pretoria East with his family, he established the practice in Faerie Glen. Maybery Inc. focused on commercial law services, assisting small business owners from Limpopo to Lenasia with contracts, labour issues, debt collections and litigation. Our very first client was a car wash owner from Joburg South.

Through hard work and determination, Warwick and the team established Maybery Inc. as an expert in solving the legal problems small and medium businesses face. Maybery Inc. was briefed on a unique litigation case in 2020 and has litigated it all the way through the Supreme Court of Appeal and now the Constitutional Court. It has been a privilege and an incredible learning curve to gain experience in Constitutional Court litigation in only 8 years of practice - something few other firms our age can boast. Maybery Inc. now offers litigation experience in all forums from tribunals like CSOS and the Rental Housing Tribunal, to Magistrates Courts, High Courts, Supreme Court and Constitutional Court litigation.

Having established the firm in litigation matters from relatively simple debt collections to complex shareholder disputes, Warwick made his way into trial advocacy. Normally, most firms appoint advocates on the trial portion of a case, but we wanted to gain this experience ourselves to offer a comprehensive service to our clients. Having appeared in the Magistrate's Court many times, Warwick made his first appearance in the High Court in August 2026, defending a client in an urgent application and successfully having the matter dismissed.

In 2026 and beyond, Maybery Inc. continues to establish itself as the expert in commercial law.
