Your first consultation with us

 

Thank you for booking a consultation with our offices. To help us provide the best possible services to you, please note the following for a smooth consultation process:

Our offices are located at Forest Hill, 41 Redge Drive, Faerie Glen, Pretoria.

Deposit

 

Payment for consultations may be made beforehand or directly after your consultation. For your convenience, we offer card facilities for easy payment. The consultation fee is R1,500 per hour, and most consultations last either one or two hours depending on the complexity of your case.

 

To proceed with your case, we will require payment of a deposit before commencing work. There are several options available to finance your case - click here for more information.

Evidence

To enable us to give you comprehensive advice on your legal matter, please bring all relevant evidence to the consultation. This includes any contracts, documents, emails/recordings (especially where your opponent may have admitted something), court documents, and any other items or documents which you think may be relevant to the matter.

 

FICA documents

 

We are required by law to obtain your FICA documentation and agreement the first time you consult with us. Please ensure you have the following original documents with you at your first consultation:

  1. Identity Document;

  2. Proof of residence;

  3. Bank statement or bank letter, not older than 3 months.

 

Companies and Trusts will be asked to provide additional documentation in line with FICA.

 

At your first consultation, you will also be asked to sign our Client Agreement, which explains costs and how our relationship will work. Please ensure you arrive a few minutes early to complete this agreement before your consultation.

 

 

Cybercrime Safety Notice

 

We will NEVER notify you of a change of banking details unless same is supported by a letter issued by our bankers. Even if you receive such a letter, you must contact our director personally to confirm the authenticity of same, and obtain additional confirmation of account details from your banking institution.

 

Confirmation of appointment

 

To confirm your consultation, please reply to the meeting invitation emailed to you within 24 hours. Kindly note that without the above confirmation, we will have to assume that you have not confirmed the consultation, and will have to allocate the time to another client.

Consultations not cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment will be payable in full.
